Hi from Charlie!
It is a joy to be serving as senior pastor of Faith UMC. The past 7 years have been such a blessing…I love the people and the Spirit! I have been in full time ministry for over twenty-three years; as Youth minister and Associate Pastor at Mt. Bethel UMC, Marietta; as Senior Pastor at Liberty Hill UMC in Canton; and as Senior Associate and Congregational Care Pastor at McEachern Memorial United Methodist Church, Powder Springs, GA.
I graduated from The University of North Carolina-Charlotte (a long time ago!) and then from Candler School of Theology (Atlanta), where I earned a Master of Divinity degree. Before entering the ministry, I served as manager of training and development at Coca-Cola Enterprises (Atlanta).
My wife Alice and I have been married for 32 years (Wow!). Alice is a Flight Attendant with Delta Airlines. We have two daughters: Jessie who works for the CDC here in Atlanta, and Carly, who is also a Flight Attendant for Delta (all in the family!) All three are beautiful and make my life a joy!
Faith really is a special place…come see for yourself!

David was born in 1955 and raised in the Clarksville/Ft. Campbell area in Tennessee. The son of an army man, he moved around a lot until his family settled in Clarksville area in 1963. He graduated with the first full class from Northwest High School in 1973 and attended Austin Peay State University, also in Clarksville, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and one in Music, with certification. His music degree includes a major in voice/choral conducting and a minor in trumpet.
David became a baptized believer during his senior year in high school and answered a call to ministry when he was 19. He has 25 years of Music Ministry experience along with 15 years of pastoral experience in the Tennessee Conference of the United Methodist Church. His lovely wife Debi is a Cedartown native and teaches at Ragsdale Elementary School in Paulding County. They are both excited to be a part of the Faith UMC family and about what the Lord is doing at Faith United Methodist Church!
Kim is a true NATIVE Georgian! With her roots deep in Rome and the surrounding areas, she grew up here close to God, family, and friends. She is married to Steve, has two grown children, Joseph and Tracey, and the sparkle you see in her eye is from her 3-yearold grandson, Matthew. Kim has been a part of several church ministries and loves providing Administrative support to the staff and congregation. When not in the office here at Faith, she can usually be found with her camera, photographing homes, people, animals, or whatever will stand still long enough to have their picture made! She’s pretty sure that heaven will have an ocean with a beach, and cabins with mountain views and fireplaces!! She feels truly blessed to have been shared the love of Jesus early on in her life by her parents, grandparents and good solid Christian upbringing. Music has always been a huge gift in sharing and praising the Lord. Her prayer is that one day in his life, her children and grandson will be able to say the same thing about her!!
Josie has served as an Administrative Assistant for United Methodist Churches for approximately 20 years. Along with being the Financial Secretary for Faith, she is the Administrative Assistant for the Rome-Carrollton District United Methodist Church. Prior to that she was the Administrative Assistant for Faith United Methodist Church. Josie considers her job a ministry and enjoys offering support to pastors, churches and church members. When not working, you can probably find Josie having tea parties with her granddaughters or exploring the woods with her grandson most likely from the enjoyment of her camper at a state park with her husband, Doug, in tow! She loves her morning coffee and growing her own vegetables. She is a wife, mother, "Ma Jo" to three, and friend to many.
